Such a cute spot and I can see why it’s so popular! We got the very berry napoleon & wow! The custard, berries, and napoleon cake were all phenomenal. The napoleon was how it should be. Moist & delicate. Perfect. Paired perfectly with a decaf latte. I can’t wait to try their other desserts in the coming months!

never heard of this place before but i was in Astoria or Ditmars or whatever for the first time so I wanted to try something famous to the area. This place has almost 5k reviews so i figured this was the place. Open since 1975 definitely the famous spot. I got the berry napoleon and the ekmek. Berry Napoleon seemed featured on the menu and the reviews. Ekmek sounded weird so i wanted to try (it might have a slightly different name). Price: expensive for pastries, Berry napoleon is $10 or $11, ekmek maybe $8 Flavor: ekmek is decent, pretty pudding like. berry napoleon slaps. filling is sweet and creamy and kinda buttery. pretty light on the berries but i didnt mind cuz the filling is so good.

I got the vegetarian carrot cake and the oatmeal pecan cookie. The cookie was fresh and soft not too sweet which made it perfect. The carrot cake had different textures which is expected for a carrot cake. The icing on the carrot cake didnt do it for me ,but maybe bc I expected a cream cheese icing or maybe it was just too much icing of layers for my usual carrot cake experience.

Martha's Country Bakery is an absolute treasure. From the moment you walk in, the display cases full of beautiful cakes, pies, pastries, and cookies make it impossible to choose just one thing. The cozy, rustic-chic atmosphere feels warm and inviting perfect for a relaxed morning coffee or a sweet treat after dinner. Their fruit tarts are legendary fresh, buttery, and piled high with seasonal berries. The cheesecake is creamy and rich without being too heavy, and the red velvet cake? To die for. Everything tastes homemade in the best way possible, and you can tell they use real, quality ingredients.
